GROUPS AND COURSES


Château Bellenau is a versatile venue for Groups that offers a unique range of facilities suited to Weddings, Retreats, Groups, Workshops, Conferences, Private Parties and Functions. The Château can accommodate up to 20 guests and, with the addition of our gîtes, we can accommodate up to 60 guests. Our large dining room "The Barn" 104 sq m which can seat up to 60 is available for private hire

Nearby facilities include beautiful sandy beaches, nature reserves, horse riding, a network of pathways for walking and mountain biking, riverboat cruises and vibrant markets where traditional local crafts and produce are abundant. In addition the many historic monuments and sites of the surrounding Normandy area such as the D-Day Landing Beaches (Utah & Omaha), St Mere Eglise, Aromanches, Omaha War Memorial, Bayeux & The Bayeux Tapestry and Mont St Michel are all within a short distance from Bellenau

We also offer bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation for holiday makers, and can provide extra home-cooked meals by arrangement.

The Château and estate has a very special history that spans hundreds of years. The grounds include a 19th century enchanted garden "Le Jardin Mystique du Paradis" . featuring a magnificent rock lined valley with chapel and caves, a network of waterways bordered by islands, meandering pathways and bridges, and a tall folly tower from which to view our canopy of palms and majestic mature trees, including gingko biloba and auracaria.If you are a facilitator, trainer/practitioner, therapist or workshop leader or simply looking for a venue for that special birthday party, family occasion or reception, we can provide a 'special space' offering the following unique

BUSINESS COURSES

Château Bellenau has already proved itself to be an effective environment for group training and conferences since opening in 1998. Easily accessible, yet remote from distractions, we offer an ideal solution for those who really want to focus to the very best of their abilities.

If you need to create the highest possible impact for your course Château Bellenau is second to none. Just imagine an exquisite location which magically helps you develop a creative & focused atmosphere. Your delegates will leave your programme motivated & energised having over-exceeded their expectations and learning objectives.

Hire us, for example, for a Directors Meeting or a Training Workshop - the Château will be entirely at your disposal. There will be no other guests, and none of the usual hotel distractions on site. We believe this is the perfect venue for team building as it promotes a focused and participative atmosphere.

Allow your delegates to let go of familiar everyday constraints. Imagine sailing away from interruptions, deadlines and office pressure. Let their minds be freed to think the impossible and take themselves beyond their limitations.

There are 10 bedrooms available, which can be utilised either as sole occupancy or as double occupancy. Our clients have however found that when team members share bedrooms it energises the team dynamics during the course with the added benefit of its continuation once back at the office.

We can provide an overhead projector and and flipcharts. Our telephone, fax and internet connection are also available for your use. We can provide three meals a day which consist of a typical French continental breakfast, buffet lunches and evening meals (with or without wine and beer).

Bellenau is flexible as to the duration of bookings and can accommodate, weekends, long weekends or mid week bookings. Bellenau is ideally situated just half an hour from Cherbourg by road and we recommend using the ferry from Portsmouth (if coming from the UK ) to Cherbourg , taking only 2½ hours during April to September.

  • To enhance your retreat, Bellenau also has a therapy room where you can completely relax and let yourself be pampered. Our experienced resident therapists offer Holistic Massage, Yoga, Reiki or Indian Head Massage.
  • We also have a fully equipped Colonic Hydrotherapy system in a private room.
  • Bellenau is especially suited to Yoga retreats offering a good sized studio space with capacity for up to 15 people.

BOOKING DETAILS

We are flexible as to the duration of bookings and can accommodate, weekends, long weekends or mid week bookings.

We can provide three vegetarian meals a day which consist of a typical French continental breakfast, buffet lunch and evening meal. Meat and fish-based diets are available. Vegan diets and other special requirements can be accommodated. Wine is available for purchase as part of your meal.

There are 10 bedrooms available, which can be utilised either as sole occupancy or as double occupancy. We find with the nature of Yoga retreats etc, guests are prepared to share, which can also energise the team dynamics and capabilities. Details and charges of additional therapies by our resident therapists are available on booking.
